The countless hours that our volunteers contribute to the program are an enormous part of what makes Limos for Learning™ a nationally renowned, successful program. By looking at all of the photos in this website, you can see the many volunteers working hard to give children from all walks of life the opportunity to experience feeling like a star as a reward for a year of hard work. Parents, teachers, business partners, media supporters, school administrations, board members, civic associations and more can be thanked for the positive results of the program.
Each year, we award those volunteers who make significant contributions to the program. Below we highlight our past award recipeints.

Established in 2006, The Limmie Award is presented each year to an individual, business or civic organization in recognition of significant involvement and ongoing support. By helping Limos for Learning™ attain a higher level of success, Limmie Award recipients serve as outstanding role models in the areas of community service and literacy activism. Their invaluable contributions allow the organization to maximize resources and positively impact thousands of children.
Betsy Ross, Founder and President, explains: “Limmie recipients go above and beyond the call of duty to advance our cause…many are unsolicited and, more often than not, work quietly behind the scenes, unseen and unacknowledged.”
“Limmie recipients are the silent angels that help our organizational team give substance to the Limos mission,” Betsy continues. She cites the example of one individual who secured an endorsement and a significant financial contribution – a tedious four month endeavor – before they called Limos to share the good news. “That kind of contribution is incredibly powerful and meaningful.”
